Tuesdays With Morrie Musical / play Live at Greenbrier Valley Theatre | Roanoke

Greenbrier Valley Theatre has been a cornerstone of Lewisburg’s vibrant arts scene for years, and it’s where some pretty memorable moments have happened. Back in 2016, they hosted the regional debut of the musical Next to Normal, which went on to win multiple local theater awards and really drew a crowd that was blown away by the raw emotion and powerful storytelling. It’s not just about big shows either, this theater has a real knack for nurturing new talent, thanks to a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts they received in 2014. That fund helps keep their emerging playwright programs alive all year round, giving fresh voices a platform and making sure the local scene stays vibrant. The place itself has seen some serious upgrades too – a capital campaign in 2003 raised over a million dollars for renovations like new lighting and accessible seating, making the space more welcoming for everyone. And if you’re lucky enough to catch a show in the upper gallery or balcony, you get a pretty sweet vantage point, better acoustics and a clear view. Whether it’s a classic musical or an intimate drama, Tuesdays With Morrie Lewisburg at Greenbrier Valley Theatre is more than just a night out; it’s an experience that sticks with you.
